About me

I'm Cristina. A few years ago, I discovered crochet after a burnout, and a real passion was born for textures, for the slow and mindful work of the hook. Combined with my love of colors, this gave life to “i Colori di Cri”.

I'll let you in on a secret: behind every stitch, every row, every color and every design I choose, there's a piece of me, my experiences, my emotions. Whether it's playful and joyful amigurumi, cozy cardigans, or colorful tops… Or bags in different sizes and materials, or hats, not to mention a few quirky gadgets… Everything is infused with “good vibes”. Every single creation starts from an inspiration, cared for in the details and as a whole, driven by the desire to turn my ideas into cuddly reality — love binds every single stitch.

A corner of thanks… to my cousin Ivano, who encouraged me to sign up for the regional markets in Ticino to promote my little handmade crafts; to my mum, who as a seamstress helps me define some sewing details, and to Andrea (my daughter-in-law), who with her tailoring skills supports my new crazy ideas. I thank those family members and friends who bought my first wobbly creations. Thanks also to Mirjam, who accompanies me at the markets with her good taste in setting up the stalls and her providential “Schwiizertüütsch”, to Daniele for the technical support, to Rosi for the opportunities she has given me, and last but not least, to my papone, who expresses his pride with a “ta se mata del tüt”, and to my children Emma and Gioele, who believe in me more than I do myself… But I cannot forget, with immense gratitude, a very special couple of friends: Alexandra and Michael. Without them, this website (and the chance to make myself known) would not exist.
